Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 2024

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the provision of painting and plastering services by Dupaja and apply to all quotations, orders and contracts made through our website or by direct contact. By requesting a quote, placing an order, or instructing us to carry out work, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully before proceeding.

1. Who We Are

Services described on this website are provided by:

For any question regarding these Terms, an existing job, or a complaint, please use the contact details above. We aim to respond to all enquiries within two working days.

2. Placing and Confirming an Order

Enquiries may be submitted through our website, by telephone or by email. Following an enquiry, we will typically arrange a site visit or request photographs and details of the property in order to provide an accurate quotation for painting and plastering work.

A quotation issued by Dupaja is valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. An order is only confirmed, and a binding contract only comes into existence, once:

We reserve the right to decline any job before confirmation, for example where access, scope, or scheduling cannot reasonably be accommodated.

3. Prices, Payment and What Is Included

All prices quoted are in pounds sterling (GBP) and, unless stated otherwise, include labour and standard materials required to complete the agreed scope of work. Prices exclude any additional work identified after the job has started that was not reasonably visible at the time of quotation, such as damp, structural defects, or unforeseen surface damage; any such additional work will be discussed and agreed with you before proceeding.

Payment terms will be confirmed at the time of quotation and may include a deposit prior to commencement, with the balance due on completion. Accepted payment methods will be communicated directly. Late payment may incur reasonable administrative charges, which will be notified in advance.

Any specialist materials, colours, or finishes requested outside our standard range may incur additional costs, which will always be agreed with you before purchase.

4. Cancellation and Complaints

4.1 Cancellation

If you are a consumer and the contract was agreed off-premises or at a distance (for example, by phone or online, without a face-to-face meeting at our premises), you may have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days of order confirmation under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. If work has already begun at your request within this period, you may be liable to pay for services provided up to the point of cancellation.

For jobs where a specific start date has been arranged, we ask that any cancellation or rescheduling be communicated as early as possible, and in any event no later than 48 hours before the scheduled start, to avoid a reasonable cancellation charge covering materials or labour already committed.

4.2 Complaints

If you are unhappy with any aspect of completed work, please contact us at [email protected] within 14 days of completion, describing the issue and, where possible, including photographs. We will investigate promptly and, where a defect resulting from our work is confirmed, will arrange for it to be remedied at no additional cost within a reasonable time.

5. Limitation of Liability

Dupaja will carry out all work with reasonable skill and care. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under the laws of England and Wales.

Subject to the above, our total liability arising out of or in connection with any job shall not exceed the total price paid for that job. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of income or loss of enjoyment, except as required by law. We are not responsible for pre-existing defects in a property that are not caused by our work.

6. Cookies and Privacy

This website uses a single cookie, consent_state, which stores your cookie consent choice for a period of one year. No analytics, tracking, or session cookies are set by this site. Advertising measurement, where applicable, is only activated after you have given consent, and only operates on the order confirmation page.

Any personal data you provide when requesting a quote or placing an order is processed in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data by contacting us at [email protected]. If you believe your data protection rights have not been respected, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's supervisory authority for data protection.

7. Governing Law

These Terms and any contract for services are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections available in your place of residence.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements. The version published on this website at the time of your order will apply to that contract.
